Locale SDK

Quidient Digital Products

Quidient provides its Development Partners with various Quidient digital products and configurations of our Locale Software Development Kit (SDK). The Locale SDK comprises a Scene Processing Engine, Plenoptic (5D) Database, appropriate Drivers and our Reference App with API. Locale is deployable across various physical platforms including smartphones, digital cameras, wearables, automobiles, UAVs, robotics and appliances (IoT).

Locale SDK

Scene Processing Engine

Quidient’s Locale Engine combines our Core Scene Reconstruction and Processing Algorithms as well as any necessary Pro Modules. Core Reconstruction includes our 5D Scene Solver that separates the matter field (3D objects in the scene) from the interacting 2D light field, describing their interface using Light Transport Theory. Core Processing includes our ultra-fast subscene insertion, extraction, search and update binaries. An exemplary Pro Module includes a 3D machine learning / AI algorithm for creating the desired meta-data.

Plenoptic (5D) Database

Quidient’s Plenoptic (5D) Database stores the 3D materials separately from the interacting 2D light flow. Among other benefits, this allows for 3D machine learning based upon the matter field (materials) substantially independent of lighting conditions, significantly decreasing training examples. Our Database is a spatially sorted hierarchical structure supporting both centralized and distributed scenes of virtually unlimited levels of detail. Our unique structure enables exceptionally fast searching of a scene based upon shape-size, color, texture, reflective properties such as sheen, material type, etc.

Plenoptic (5D) Database

Quidient’s Plenoptic (5D) Database stores the 3D materials separately from the interacting 2D light flow. The Locale Reference App provides examples of basic visualization and analytic functions using our CORE API. Development Partners use the CORE API to create their own Custom Apps. Upon request, Quidient develops PRO Modules with customized scene processing, also accessible through the API. Example scene processing includes object recognition, damage assessment, feature extraction dimensioning, change tracking, scene search, editing, estimation, fitting, navigation, 3D printing, visualization and augmentation.
